I’d like to give a shoutout to my husband, Mike. Yes, Mike is running for governor of Missouri, but today, I am not talking about Mike the candidate—I am talking about Mike, my partner, husband, and the father/step-father to our kids.

After many years of being married to Mike, I've witnessed him navigate life in many scenarios. But seeing him react to the challenges of running for governor? I wasn’t sure what to expect.

What I've seen so far has made me admire Mike even more than I thought possible.

Throughout this race, we've faced many challenges—some expected, some completely new to us—and we are sure more will be on the horizon. What feels most significant to me through it all is that Mike has been... chill. Despite the demands of the campaign, he has remained a steadfast and present husband and father, always finding time to be there for me and our kids just as intentionally as he did before all this began—basically, he is still being MIKE.

The other day, I was feeling a bit anxious about the race and shared that with Mike during a walk. Mike turned to me and asked what I needed to feel better. Here he is, the one running for governor, and he's focused on MY needs! That’s just the kind of person he is—attentive, level-headed, and selfless.

I feel incredibly lucky to be his wife. Missouri would be equally fortunate to have him as their Governor.

This whole process has only reinforced my belief that Mike isn't just a good candidate for Missouri -- he is undeniably the best! Missouri needs a governor who can stay calm, work with reason, and tirelessly advocate for the state just as he does for our family.
